JOB PURPOSE
- To develop, implement and execute short- and long-term medical goals and tactics, with an emphasis on pharmacotherapeutic aspects and with an understanding of business priorities
- Strategic leadership role to provide medical knowledge and scientific update within the therapy areas for external and internal stakeholders & scientific information management and dissemination
- Lead the scientific collaboration with selected healthcare professional (External experts) within the therapy area with the objectives of educational programs
- Competitor intelligence sharing with internal groups
- Internal training and maintaining scientific expertise within the cross-functional team
- Lead the development and roll-out of local medical tactical plans
- Attracts, develops and retains experts within the therapeutic areas medical team
KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible for elaborating the medical affairs strategic plan on products /portfolio /therapeutic areas in full alignment with the business strategy and with the company processes and guidelines.
- Elaborate the KOL/KTL mapping and responsible for the KOL/KTL engagement plan. Establish strong collaboration with key opinion leaders and healthcare organizations and ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored. Organize and Lead the preparation of local advisory boards and expert meetings.
- Attend local, regional and international scientific events where needed.
- Active participation in the cross functional local brand teams (Commercial, Market access, Regulatory, PV…)
- Ensure that the interfaces between Medical and other departments are managed optimally.
- Ensure effective team communication throughout the department through the application of suitable reporting systems and structures and the identification and provision of appropriate training.
- Review and validate promotional material according to legal and company guidelines aiming to promote products without compromising legal or other guidelines
- Ensure proper implementation of the Medical Governance and interaction with HCPs (Organization of and Contribution to Events involving HCPs and Healthcare Organizations)
- Providing medical support for the company by acting as contact person in consultation with the Medical Lead / Director, with external and internal stakeholders
- Provide direct support to sales force by ensuring delivery and preparation of trainings
- Provide medical and scientific trainings to the affiliate teams.
- Active involvement in Patient Support Program development: review of the PSP curriculum, education of the teams on PSP processes and follow-up on implementation to be compliant with guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact for medical information related to Sanofi products.
- Design, develop and execute Medical Awareness & Educational programs (CME) to maximize Disease area penetration
- Develop and organize medical activities in coordination with the Marketing group, such as: Local & regional workshops, scientific symposia, local & Int’l speakers’ tours.
- Develop, recruit and train local Speakers within the frame of local SOPs.
- Prepare and compile medical resources / Products’ Scientific data/Clinical articles/Publications /Studies/Journals/Slide-kits and Presentations, to be used according to local SOPs
2. Provide leadership and medical expertise in the development of strategic Medical affairs local and corporate clinical plan in line with the global strategy.
- Support in the implementation of the local clinical plan by advising, guiding, and managing the development of protocols from concept phase to implementation, support in the initiation visits and discussions with investigators, clinical study report elaboration and publications.
- Provide medical expertise in the review of safety cases reported locally and contribute to the risk management measures related to Sanofi products.
- Participate in the Medical Affairs SOP development and ensure all SOPs are updated effectively and affiliate procedures are in line with the global requirements.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Education Level
- Medical qualification
- Experience
- Medical Degree preferable
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of Industry experience
- Clinical experience in related field (Rare Diseases) is a plus
- Skills
- Advanced hands-on computer competency in Word, Excel, Power point, WWW searches
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills
- Understands customer and market trends, identifying and adopting best practices to constantly increase productivity
