Our client is seeking a highly motivated Site Lead to take complete Asset ownership of two Geothermal sites based in Taupo.
Key Accountabilities:
Health & Safety: Ensure leading health & safety compliance, champion world-class attitudes, manage incident reports, coordinate Emergency Response Plan, collaborate with contractors, and prioritize safety actions.
Asset Management: Lead site team for optimum plant availability, reliability, and compliance. Hold stakeholders accountable for planned and defect maintenance. Maximize day-to-day availability, optimize maintenance, ensure quality plans, manage isolations, minimize downtime, and oversee compliance.
People Management: Directly manage Maintenance Technicians and/or Production Technicians; performance, coaching, and development. Indirectly collaborate with schedulers for high-priority site work. Ensure timely completion of the right work. Work with Area Manager to maximize availability and reliability. Indirectly manage key internal stakeholders. Lead by example, motivate, and inspire in a fast-paced environment.
Projects: Prepare project deliverables and sponsor projects. Manage expectations and deliverables from internal teams. Prioritize and deliver minor site projects.
Required Experience/Technical Skills:
- People leadership, inspiring and leading trade/technician teams.
- Plant operations, process control, or maintenance experience in heavy industry.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning, scheduling, and budget control.
- Proven Process Safety experience preferred.
- Contractor management expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Efficient use of Windows OS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - Maximo.
- Project management skills preferred.
- Methodical approach to problem analysis and troubleshooting.
- Competent in Process Safety areas, including process safety concepts, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and safety critical element management.
