Role Profile: Support the fraud prevention team in driving overall strategy, and delivery of initiatives to protect the profit and assets of the business. Investigate sensitive fraud cases and provide support in fraud prevention throughout the organization.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for collection and compiling all facts related to investigations and incidents.
- Perform various analysis using various technology software and hardware
- Manage all confidential, high-profile corporate investigations
- Manage the corporate whistle-blower program and details that flow through it
- Analyse various company data, systems and reports to identify abuse or risk.
- Responsible for collection of facts related to confidential and highly sensitive investigations.
- Review and monitor exception reporting system.
- Highlight suspect transactions and compile information for support teams.
- Perform negative media scans using tools such as Internet search engines
- Managing evidence with proper chain of custody procedures.
- Perform forensic analysis on computers, and any other digital media.
- Conduct due diligence searches in various third-party and internal databases
- Prepare case notes, summaries and detailed reports as required.
- Manage special projects as assigned.
- Maintain high level of ethics and confidentiality.
- Foster teamwork and collaborative environment to meet objectives.
- Additional tasks may be added as determined by senior management.
Job Requirements and Experience:
- Retail loss prevention/asset protection background
- Certified fraud examiner designation an asset
- Forensic interviewing training an asset
- Conducting online investigations
- Working with corporate systems
- Critical thinking and problem solving
